Re: My Successful Network
It is okay and nice.
But why do you want to protect your core?

Re: My Successful Network
Terrible sentry placement.
The scanner is a better chokepoint than the compiler.
Try to keep your black ices linked to only one node.
Kraken is really strong at your level so might wanna throw the core outside.

Indeed, krakens would wreck your base pretty easily

Re: My Successful Network
Eh, nope. There are plenty of things wrong with this base. Mostly with the sentry and scanner placement.RussianOtter wrote:Here is the link to a photo of my network that works really well.

- Try use your scanner as a choke point
- Move one sentry with the rest of your defence cluster
- Core can easily be kraken'ed as some of my buddies pointed out
- Scanner should cover code gates. Like the circled green one. Not like the red one
Reputation points don't mean anything right now. All they do is give you bragging rights. No extra loot, no bonuses, no benefit.RussianOtter wrote:Reputation pointskingofsnipers wrote:It is okay and nice.

Re: My Network
Your point of view on the game is a bit different than intended. Rep points are there to show that you are making a decent income from hacking and to show you are doing a nice job of keeping hackers out. That is how the game was intended to be played. The way you and others do it, is where you only care about the money and not protecting your core. For me, I am going to not change some of the suggested aspects because of the goal of the game.

Have you BEEN to 1000+ rep before? I have.RussianOtter wrote:Your point of view on the game is a bit different than intended. And trust me, there is no loot there. No income. Most rep comes from attacking anyway. So both of your points are invalid. Right now, there is no incentive for reputation points other than bragging rights.
Come back once you've been to the deserts plains of 1000+ rep

A good network lets me keep 4million gold and 120k bitcoins over night. Can you do that?RussianOtter wrote:Your point of view on the game is a bit different than intended. You better listen to Fluffy's advise! His strategy is good!
