Need Confirmation:is this normal blaster damage

Hi fellow forum users and staff,

I just got hacked and saw something peculiar during the replay is it normal for a lv2 blaster which does 52 damage take down a lv6 turret with 505 firewall in three shots?

Keep in mind that damage is measured in damage PER SECOND.

"The Blaster will charge for 3.5 seconds and will stun for 2 seconds." (source wiki) That means that for a level 2 blaster with 52 damage as you said will do 52 x 3.5 damage PER PROJECTILE.

52 x 3.5 = 182 damage per projectile
505 firewall / 182 = 2.77 projectiles needed

So yes, three shots would be correct

Ooo~, I would be careful. I usually use blasters on secure nodes because they take a long time to deploy and attack. E.g. trying to break through a code gate.

If you can't hold that choke point well, your blaster won't be of much use as you will lose it along with the choke point node

Like Fluff said, Blaster is slow so either use it on secure nodes or pair it with Ice Wall/Protector.
But I don't think you really need to use Blaster yet at your level.
