Some people would hate the 12 hour cap. I think the 3 hr check should be fixed instead. The 3 hr counter should not be reset if the player was offline for less than 30 minutes. Or maybe increase the counter for every minutes the player is offline. Capped at 3 hours.

Can we have a "Game Suggestion" subforum? Posting all suggestion on a single topic makes it hard to discuss a specific suggestion. Hot topics will become more visible too.

How do you know he is on 24/7? Did you try to retrace him 24/7?

If you play for more than 12 hours a day, get a life. My average farming session last no more than a few hours, and the upgrade takes days. 12 hours a day is plenty and enough for any reasonable excuses.

Playing online games is my life. :P I am still on the lowish lvls and only big upgrades take more than a day to upgrade. There is fun in retracing and hacking other players. Having a 12 hour countdown is like having "energy" in some other games. If someone likes to dedicate his life on a game... live and let die I guess.

I can certainly suggest it tomorrow.

We have 2 Topics at the moment, one for Programs and Nodes, and one for Game Features. Every suggestion has been read and considered (most of which are being worked on), so there's not been a huge need to see which is a Hot Topic as most of them are pretty hot :P I can see a few advantages to it though, so I'll bring it up. For the time being though, please use the couple of links above. :)
There are 10 types of people in the world. Those that can read binary, and those that cant.

12 total play hours a day is a large amount of time.
And it doesn't mean you can't play past 12 hours, it just means that you can be attacked. This guarantees you have at least 12 hours of vulnerability per day. How fun would it be for your fellow players if they can't retrace you simply because you're online 24/7?

When does the 12 hour counter start? When will it reset? Will it ever stop? If it is similar to the current 3 hour cap, then it would be worse.

The problem now is that people can reset the 3 hour counter just by logging out for 5 or so minutes (if what people are telling true) then logging in again. Hence my earlier suggestion.

A predictable 12 hour open window takes away some stalking strategy and would make the game less fun imo.

12 hours of total online time. If you stay online (cannot be searched or retraced) for more than 12 hours a day reset at midnight server time, you can be hijacked like the current 3 hours limit.
