Re: Yet another "I need advice" post

It takes a loooooong time for b-coin mines/server farms to pay off so selling it is not really a hit to your economy especially if your income is from attacking other people rather than waiting for the mines and farms to fill up. Level 1 scanner is the best chokepoint in the game so yes, that would ...

Re: Yet another "I need advice" post

1. You don't have any real way to defend against stealth until you force attackers to go through 2 code gates with level 8 scanner. 2. and 3. Your issue is your entire network doesn't actually have a single tough chokepoint. Your scanner sort of is a chokepoint but it's only going to keep being upgr...

Re: Rebuild Shurikin program

I just used shuriken to hack a lvl 40 something player by ignoring maelstrom link priority with it so I think shuriken is in a nice place as a situational program. It sounds like you're trying to make a completely new program rather than improve shuriken. Either way, your proposed changes won't imp...

Re: Suggestion : "Obfuscated Connection"

I really like this idea but it seems like it's only going to work once for each attacker.

Re: Defending against Krakens with core inside network?

If only he didn't mess up those ice walls and noticed the kraken was stuck earlier.

At least this attacker didn't ignore your security.

Re: Defending against Krakens with core inside network?

Yeah it's basically your earlier design except rather than chokepoints in a line for kraken, you connect them such that everything is connected to everything else and antivirus does the majority of the fighting. It's actually really similar by basing defense on micromanaging each node and ice wall/s...

Re: No confirmation on credit spending

I have instant compiled for more than 10 credits before and it doesn't give me any confirmation. I'm sorry that's my bad, it was there in the alpha but got removed, I forgot about that. The 'instant finish' button being in the same place as 'programs' button only concerned a small portion of device...

Re: Defending against Krakens with core inside network?

Talk about ice wall spam. 11 ice walls at that level is a lot. If he was smarter then he would have actually wraithed your black ice at the start instead of code gate. Then he would have saved himself like 3 ice walls and a bunch of beams. But yeah, one black ice alone at the front really doesn't do...
