Re: AI update squid underpowered? (Waiting on wiki update)
Yeah, but the Data Leech doesn't take 15 disk space and have a 30 minute compile time. Maniac is at the opposite end of the spectrum of price, size, and compile time. But even then, if you look at a network and decide you need an extra Ram or an extra Wraith, you're looking at a 10 to 15 minute comp...

Re: The new update... worsened the game.
The Worms main I'm building was hit hard by this update. Upgrading Worms generates a ton of experience (not to mention it's expensive), and even Worms 21 are trash compared to Beams and Shuriken. Relying on Shocker for that extra program slot was the only viable strategy. With the introduction of th...

Re: The new update... worsened the game.
The way I see it, this update is specifically designed to protect more casual players from minmaxers. The AI nodes+programs buff both offense and defense, but with a one hour revive time, minmaxers who hack frequently can't rely on AIs as part of their normal program set. My biggest questions are ho...

Re: AI update squid underpowered? (Waiting on wiki update)
Take any level 1 program against any level 50+ network and it's going to feel mediocre. Need to see squid in action at higher levels to make any real conclusion.
Also Maniac is not useless. It's just that the compile time is way too long to be practical.

Re: Still takes to long to compile hanks after all this time....
If your compile times far exceed more than 30 minutes, then you're using way too many programs - no matter the net. This is a sign you need to rethink your program set, or upgrade your compiler, or upgrade your programs. And this is why programs like Portal and Maniac... and even stealth in general...
