Make chatgroups in game

Would it be possible to create an option to make your own chatgroups, chat with others to discuss strategy etc.
This would increase the time spent in game, make it more interesting and could evolve into clans, etc
Since we can already chat with everybody and with your country it should'nt be super difficult to make.

This would also encourage players to work together, improve.

It would even be possible to evolve this into co op missions and co op bases and many more options.

Chat groups require a substantial amount more than the chat that is currently in game, as it requires things such as group permissions and indivual settings.

While not exactly the same question, here's a response to the question "Is a chat mute player button a possibility?"

...was thinking of a good way for it, and if it should be there or not. Obviously it requires another button in the UI for mute, but my main concern is if it needed a whole new set of UI elements and UX interactions for managing the muted contacts. When you mute someone, do you have muted them forever? Unlikely. And then, you have to present a whole new management system where you go through the people you muted and you have to be able to unmute them, and that already starts to be too big (plus server functions for all this, per player)

This is not to say it's never going to happen of course Simply that chat group additions aren't as straight forward and simple as they seem.
