How many of other users would want program overwriting switched off?

I would like the option, if possible by program type too

What we would like to see, is overwriting accurs only by protecting programs, and only on things like shuriken, worms or beams, maybe Rams too, if they already stopped working.

Blaster being overwritten with beam is still going on. If you guys aren't going to remove overwrite, can you at least fix this issue?

Fixing this would again kill old replays. It is on our plan to fix, we will do it in one round when we have more replay-breaking changes.
