example of badly designed Maelstrom, three turrets connected to core, two black ICE connected to all turrets. just used a worm and a protector and destroyed everything.

Always happy to get more resources.
Also lvl is abstraction. What matters how you developed your base/programs. I saw VERY easy lvl 37 bases and some lvl 29 that I'd never be able to hack then (at the moment anyways)

PS, I really like the last idea I just had. Thoughts on a node to slow down projectile offensives?

Yo, with this change. I am successful to defend Blaster. Look at my base (the one in my profile). Hacker can successfully install a blaster. That's for sure. But they have to keep placing ICE Wall to keep this alive. Both of my Black ICE shot a very powerful blast and keep taking down his ICE Wall. If he only place 1 ICE Wall / Protector in the 1 lv Scanner, he will lose the scanner when two blasters arrived. My Turrets are completely safe with this update as the hacker will have no chance to taking over two of the Turrets before losing the scanner.
