Any comments please do so :)

Try using your scanner as the chokepoint rather than the code gate.
That turret behind the core won't be able to do anything.
Your network is just spread out enough that you can't focus any nodes and won't slow the attacker down enough.
Split up your sentries farther apart for better antivirus spread.

When you encounter kraken later, move the core outside.

Where is your scanner? You should probably delete that 3rd sentry for it. (Click on the sentry and press the "X")

Otherwise, choke looks great, branching looks good. More information on kraken here

Thankyou for your help Fluffington :)

I remade my hole network as you advaiced. This is how it looks like now:

Try to keep Black ICEs connected to only one or two nodes.
You're putting all of your security into the scanner but the scanner doesn't have enough connections for all of them. Try putting some security into your guardian as well.

Here's an example:

One more node left for you to extend the path to the resources. I'd probably put the evolver after the sentry and connect your servers/mines to the evolver.

Okay. I built my network after your example. I really appreciate your help. Thank you Yopee :)

Hi,

I'm new to the game and the forum. Any comment on the layout is appreciated.

Ey, that's a pretty good base. And trust me, I have pretty high standards :)

Just one main problem with your code gate
Image
You have a sentry with 4 program slots attached to a code gate. With code gates, you want to give the attacker few attacking slots so that it takes longer to take down.

I would move it to the front next to your code gate. This means that the attacker needs to waste so much time on two code gates before even getting to your well designed choke point.

Nice work! Hope that helps

Not quite sure what layout to use.
This is what I have now:
Image
I'm still using this old defense layout lol

This is what I had yesterday before upgrading my scanner/code gate:
Image

The reason I've changed the layout was just because of the stealth attacks so my scanner can cover both gates.
But now i have that "high" level scanner with much more Firewall, so def not the best choke point ever.
What to do now?

Also, about the storage area, which one is the best to use?

It's pretty simple to solve your high level scanner chokepoint issue - stop using it as your one and only chokepoint. You have a guardian and a level 1 scanner.

For the storage area, I would use neither because the sentry is in the back. I might use the first one if you moved the sentry up and disconnected one of the black ICEs from everything else except the scanner.
I'm not sure but I think you're going for some beauty in symmetry oh so pretty setup but generally speaking, in lower levels symmetry means you take it in both ways rather than just one.

Wait until you get to higher core levels to do symmetry. You will have more nodes to play with then.

So, you're saying I should remake it all from scratch?
